Who are we?

Founded in 2014, Hansen Women Productions is a daughter-mother founded production company in Hollywood, California, dedicated to the art of storytelling and filmmaking.

Having been in the Hollywood film industry for four generations, Helen Alexis Yonov and her mother Gail Helen Yonov Root began working together in 2007 when they made The Weight of It, a 15-minute short film.

They have continued to work together, approaching every project with the desire to create unique stories that touch upon humanity. Be it a short film, a commercial, a feature narrative, or documentary, Hansen Women Productions aims to create projects that resonate with their world-wide audience.
